(Crisp) Movie Review: OPERATION ROMEO by FENIL SETA

Operation Romeo is produced by Neeraj Pandey and is a story of a young couple who are harassed by the cops under the guise of moral policing. The beginning portions are dragging but later, the film gets better once Sharad Kelkar enters the narrative. The second half is captivating. The last scene of the film is refreshing. The film never really goes on a high though and back stories of the characters are not established. Speaking of performances, Sharad Kelkar rocks the show and is apt. Sidhant Gupta is a fine talent and gives a worthy performance. Bhumika Chawla is quite good in a supporting part. Vedika Pinto puts her best foot forward but gets overpowered in the presence of the other actors. Kishor Kadam is, as always, dependable. All in all, Operation Romeo is a timepass revenge saga. It’ll sink without a trace in cinemas and will find its audience on Netflix.

My rating – *** out of 5!
