(Crisp) Movie Review: FROZEN 2 by FENIL SETA

Frozen 2 takes off from where Frozen ended and answers many questions that rose in the first part. As expected, the film doesn’t have a single dull moment as there’s so much happening every minute. Humour comes out very well and the film scores on the emotional quotient front. The new characters also add a lot to the story. The supporting characters like Sven, Olaf and the cameo by cute salamander take the cuteness level many notches higher. Music is great, especially ‘Into The Unknown’. The haunting tune won’t leave your mind and I am looking forward to see how it’s made a part of the Oscar gags! Will the rest of the song stand the test of time, like part 1 soundtrack, remains to be seen. However, there are too many songs this time. Thankfully, the song picturisation is great. Secondly, the tension levels don’t really go on a high. This wasn’t the case with the first part as it had a lot of nail-biting moments. Nevertheless, Frozen 2 compensates for it with a great storyline, voiceovers and cuteness. All in all, this film can’t be missed if you are a Disney fan. It’s doing great business in India and it’s good to see that animated films are finally getting the due!

My rating – **** out of 5!
