(Crisp) Movie Review: STRANGE WORLD by FENIL SETA

Strange World is a great Thanksgiving treat from Disney. It’s fascinating firstly to see the special 100-year celebration logo of Walt Disney Animation Studios. The 102-minute-long film wastes no time and gets straight to the point from the first scene. The concept is terrific and full marks to the imagination of the makers. The manner in which the ‘Strange World’ has been depicted is sure to dazzle not just the kids but also adults. The cuteness and also father-son banter keep the interest going. The twist in the finale is unexpected but happens too suddenly and is also quite difficult to digest. It also leaves a few questions unanswered. For a film aimed at kids, it’s also a bit confusing. The voiceovers are apt be it by Jake Gyllenhaal (Searcher Clade), Dennis Quaid (Jaeger Clade), Jaboukie Young-White (Ethan), Gabrielle Union (Meridian) and Lucy Liu (Callisto). All in all, Strange World makes for an entertaining and enchanting watch!

My rating – *** ½ out of 5!
