Mickey 17 is directed by Bong Joon Ho of Parasite fame. This time, he narrates a crazy story set in the future and in outer space. On the surface, it’s funny and dramatic but like Parasite, he yet again explores certain social themes. A few characters seem quite true to life and that adds to the fun. The villain track is a bit weak and that hampers the impact to an extent. Robert Pattinson steals the show. He plays characters with distinct personalities and the way he has brought that out is seen to be believed. Mark Ruffalo is another scene-stealer and delivers one of the finest performances of his career. Toni Collette (Ylfa) ably supports him. Naomi Ackie (Nasha Barridge) leaves a huge mark. Others also do well. All in all, Mickey 17 is a crazy and eccentric fare and deserves to be seen in cinemas.
