Jurassic World: Rebirth is a step in the right direction especially after the last part turned out to be just okay. The makers signed writer David Koepp, who wrote the first parts of Jurassic Park. He got some old-school entertainment in the writing while director Gareth Edwards brought fresh execution. The mission shown in the film is exciting and the usual action and nail-biting scenes are present in abundance. On the flipside, though the plot is not clichéd, the visuals are. The charm of seeing dinosaurs creating havoc has diminished to some extent. Secondly, the finale fight is stretched. Scarlett Johansson is damn good. Her character is no damsel in distress and is the protector here, a part that suits her completely. Mahershala Ali, the man with a lovely smile, is too good as always. Jonathan Bailey is a bit subtle and it works for him. Rupert Friend is apt for the part. Manuel Garcia-Rulfo lends able support. David Iacono (Xavier) is the surprise of the film. Luna Blaise (Teresa) gives an effective performance and Audrina Miranda (Isabella) is cute. All in all, Jurassic World: Rebirth is way better than the previous part and worth watching on the big screen.
