(Crisp) Movie Review: JUMANJI: THE NEXT LEVEL by FENIL SETA

Jumanji: The Next Level is a fun-filled adventure comedy, just like its predecessor. Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle however had more meat and hunour. This one also has its share of entertainment but falls short of reaching the level of part 1. The villain and his track is also not upto the mark. On the positive side, some moments are quite hilarious and adventurous. The manner in which the old men also get sucked into the world of Jumanji and the madness it creates makes for a nice watch. Talking of performances, Dwayne Johnson is as always entertaining. Karen Gillan dominates the first half in a way and her character has to do a lot of explaining to do which she does it very well. Kevin Hart and Jack Black do a very fine job as their look is the same as last time but personality is different. Nick Jonas is dashing as always. Awkwafina, Alex Wolff, Madison Iseman, Rhys Darby, Rory McCann and Ser’Darius Blain also are fine. All in all, go for Jumanji: The Next Level with minimal expectations, especially if you have loved the first half, and chances are that you’ll have a good time!

My rating – *** out of 5!
