(Crisp) Movie Review: GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 3 by FENIL SETA

Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3 is the surprise of the season, more so after the not-so-impressive films of Marvel Cinematic Universe in recent times. The makers adopted a great strategy by not giving away the actual plot in the trailers. Hence, viewers will be in for a surprise when they’ll know what the film is all about. As was the case with the previous Guardians Of The Galaxy films, this one has some wacky funny scenes that are sure to raise laughs. But this time, writer-director James Gunn surprises as he scores beautifully in the emotional scenes. The pre-climax and climax are terrific and it won’t be a surprise if viewers in your show can’t stop whistling, hooting and also occasionally wiping their tears. Speaking of performances, Chris Pratt is terrific and this is definitely his best performance yet in a Marvel film. Zoe Saldaña is dependable as always. Dave Bautista and Pom Klementieff are even more adorable this time. Karen Gillan is damn good while Chukwudi Iwuji is decent as the antagonist. Will Poulter leaves a mark. The voiceovers by Bradley Cooper, Vin Diesel and Maria Bakalova (for Cosmo The Spacedog) are praiseworthy. All in all, Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3 brings back the lost glory of Marvel and is a must-watch.

My rating – **** out of 5!
