(Crisp) Movie Review: GANAPATH – A HERO IS BORN by FENIL SETA

Ganapath – A Hero Is Born is set in the future and this element could have been the film’s USP. Instead, it becomes its biggest liability as the makers fail to do justice. On top of it, the VFX is tacky. The story in the first half reminds one of Chandni Chowk To China. The twist in the second half and climax is predictable. One can guess it from a mile away. What saves the film are some action scenes and the intermission point. The lead actors also give their best. Tiger Shroff has never looked so dashing. Kriti Sanon looks stunning and is convincing as an action hero. Amitabh Bachchan is fine but is hardly there. Rahman is the surprise of the film. Ziad Baki (John) is decent. Jameel Khan and Girish Kulkarni are dependable. Elli AvrRam looks great but is wasted. All in all, Ganapath – A Hero Is Born is forgettable.

My rating – ** out of 5!
