WILL DRISHYAM THE CONCLUSION EMERGE AS AJAY DEVGN’S HIGHEST GROSSER?

The much-awaited Drishyam The Conclusion will release tomorrow, October 2, and the excitement is incredible. Drishyam’s first part was released in 2015 and had a decent opening of just Rs. 5.87 crores. It went on to do a business of Rs. 68.66 crores and was given an Average verdict. However, it was widely consumed on television and OTT, and formed a cult following. The memes helped the film a lot as well, especially the jokes about Vijay Salgaonkar having Pav Bhaji on October 2.

As a result, Drishyam 2 (2022) created tremendous pre-release hype. It was expected to do well, but at the same time, it was the pre-Covid time. Hence, many wondered if the audience would turn up in big numbers to see a film devoid of VFX and big-screen appeal. However, they did and how. The film opened at Rs. 14.92 crores and collected a huge Rs. 233.53 crores, astonishing the trade and industry.

It thus became a foregone conclusion that Drishyam The Conclusion would open with a bang. Moreover, it is releasing on October 2, a national holiday. During the last National holiday, a film like Batwara 1947 jumped more than 100%. This is the power of National Holidays and with Drishyam The Conclusion, the buzz is already on its side. As per the advance trends, the film is expected to collect Rs. 50 crores on October 2. In fact, the numbers can even touch the Rs. 60 crore mark. The best part is that all kinds of audiences, masses as well as classes, are extremely excited to check out how the franchise ends.

Drishyam The Conclusion can collect between Rs. 150 crores and Rs. 175 crores in its opening weekend. It’ll face limited competition until Diwali next month and can thus earn Rs. 500 crores during its lifetime, especially if reports are positive.
