Baaghi 2 had so many factors going in its favour – popularity of the franchise, great supporting cast, scale, excitement for the series and above all – Tiger Shroff. But sadly, the film fails to impress as there’s absolutely no logic and sense. It could have been a great action thriller with a twist. But only the action works. Songs are not that great too. Thankfully, the performances save the day to an extent. Tiger Shroff is terrific and delivers his most accomplished performance. But for how long will he continue to do such mediocre films? His popularity is maddening but he needs to be choosy with his scripts if he has to stay in the race. Disha Patani is good but has limited screen time. Randeep Hooda is outstanding and he takes the film to another level. Manoj Bajpayee and Prateik Babbar are great and same goes for Deepak Dobriyal. Overall, it’s a disappointment!
