Ad Astra is strictly an okay flick and lacks captivating moments in most of the scenes. The storyline is interesting and the world depicted is utmost fascinating. However, the film is too long and drags at places. Thankfully, the last part is engaging. Also, Brad Pitt delivers a very fine performance. He plays an emotionally detached person with unresolved issues and he brings it so nicely that it’s seen to be believed. Tommy Lee Jones is great in the supporting role. Donald Sutherland leaves a huge mark. Ruth Negga is decent. All in all, Ad Astra is fascinating visually and emotionally too, it touches in some scenes but overall, it emerges as an average fare!
