After the great success of their two web series, Samantar (season 1 & 2) on MX Player and Naxalbari on Zee5 over the last two years, GSEAMS’ new series Raktanchal Season 2 has also received a tremendous response from the audience. Produced by Arjun Singgh Baran and Kartk DNishandar and directed by Ritam Srivastava, the series has created a huge buzz among the viewers.
Karan Patel, Mahie Gill, Kranti Prakash Jha, Nikitin Dheer, Ashish Vidhyarti starrer Raktanchal Season 2 had a global premiere on February 11, 2022 on MX Player and is getting an overwhelming response since its release.
Commenting on the release, Arjun and Kartk said, “We are extremely happy with the way the show has taken shape and the response we are receiving from the audience. The duo are firm believers of quality content and are experienced in the production of films & web series. Raktanchal Season 2 is a crime drama inspired by real-life events from the ’80s of Purvanchal, Uttar Pradesh. It depicts the crime that used to happen relating to tenders. The story is about the criminal empire of Waseem Khan, who is challenged by a young criminal Vijay Singh. While Waseem Khan is a pure criminal, Vijay is kind-hearted, who in spite of turning into an anti-hero, serves people as much as he can.
The story sets in motion, a clash for acquiring tenders with a political battle in the background, which unleashes a bloodbath in the city of Purvanchal. Vijay must overcome great personal odds to beat Waseem Khan and become the tender king.
Vijay Singh (Kranti Prakash Jha) may have lost the final showdown with Waseem Khan (Nikitin Dheer) in season 1, but the gangs of Uttar Pradesh have bigger graves to dig as the top guns of Bombay Police come knocking at their doors. Why the sudden broadening of the horizon?
