(Crisp) Movie Review: UNCHARTED by FENIL SETA

Uncharted is a bit illogical and reminds one of several, similar films in this space like Red Notice, Indiana Jones, Fast & Furious, National Treasure etc. However, the film still manages to entertain due to the fun and action moments and chemistry between the leads. Also, the idea of two men trying to find a hidden treasure is intriguing in itself and the makers try their best to engage audiences. The film moves at a fine pace and never gets too serious or gory. Tom Holland, as expected, is superb in the lead role. Mark Wahlberg underplays his part and adds to the humour. Sophia Ali is quite good and one wishes she had more screen time. Tati Gabrielle is menacing while Antonio Banderas is okay. All in all, Uncharted is a fun, escapist entertainer and deserves a big-screen watch, despite some illogical moments and lack of originality.

My rating – *** ½ out of 5!
