(Crisp) Movie Review: KUCH KHATTAA HO JAAY by FENIL SETA

Kuch Khattaa Ho Jaay rests on a mindless plot that defies common sense and even entertainment. Shockingly, it is directed by G Ashok, who helmed the Anushka Shetty-starrer, Bhaagamathie. The way the director’s skills have gone down with this flick is unbelievable. The first half of the film at least has some humour to keep the interest going. After the intermission point, the film gets serious and even more senseless. The makers also try to do a Lage Raho Munna Bhai and show the common man laughing and crying while listening to the story of the characters on the radio. It added to the unintentional laughter among the audience. Speaking of performances, Guru Randhawa needs to polish his acting skills. Saiee Manjrekar looks lovely and carries off the role well. Anupam Kher is dependable as always. Ila Arun is irritating. Atul Srivastava, Paresh Ganatra and Paritosh Tripathi are decent. All in all, Kuch Khattaa Ho Jaay should be avoided at all costs.
