(Crisp) Movie Review: FAST X by FENIL SETA

Fast X is a true blue action entertainer that takes the franchise one level up. The previous film, Fast & Furious 9, was underwhelming; it had limited action and was unexciting. This film, however, is loaded with some incredible action scenes and stunts, some of which will take your breath away. It’s commendable how the film’s team are able to give the audiences something new and spectacular. This is no feat, especially when viewers have seen it all in the previous 9 parts. The villain this time is ruthless and crazy like no other from this series. On the flipside, some action scenes seemed forced. And in some places, the cinematic liberties went to another level. Speaking of performances, Vin Diesel is rocking. Jason Momoa steals the show as the badass villain. Michelle Rodriguez (Letty) is dependable. Tyrese Gibson (Roman Pearce), Ludacris (Tej Parker), Nathalie Emmanuel (Ramsey) and Sung Kang (Han) are quite good as well as funny. Leo Abelo Perry (Brian) and John Cena (Jakob Toretto) are adorable. Jason Statham (Deckard Shaw) registers an impact, in a cameo. Charlize Theron (Cipher) and Brie Larson (Tess) are impressive. Others do well. All in all, Fast X is a paisa-vasool film. Needless to say, watch it only on the BIG screen.

My rating – *** ½ out of 5!
