(Crisp) Movie Review: DUMBO by FENIL SETA

Dumbo is a lovely and a heartwarming film, just like most Disney entertainers. The film scores brownie point thanks to the way the makers have created the lead character of Dumbo. He’s so cute and you fall for him instantly. And once he starts to fly freely, things get even better. Also praiseworthy is how Dreamland is thought of. Totally dream like! The other characters too keep the interest going. On the flipside, the conflicts could have been a bit more extreme. The setting and some supporting characters also gives a déjà vu of a somewhat similar film The Greatest Showman. Talking of performances, Colin Farrell is sincere. Nico Parker leaves a greater mark. Eva Green has a crucial part and is too good. Danny DeVito is quite entertaining. Michael Keaton is as always dependable. All in all, Dumbo is highly recommended for the cuteness especially!

My rating – **** out of 5!
