Beast is a Tamil film starring Thalapathy Vijay which has got a grand release today in cinemas. The trailer was promising and the plot is quite interesting. The film starts on an excellent note and the action scenes are stylish and appealing. A few comic scenes also work well. However, the script is full of unconvincing scenes. One doesn’t feel the tension; it doesn’t seem that dreaded terrorists have taken over a mall. In fact, the villains are shown to be utter fools and you wonder who made them most wanted terrorists in the first place! Speaking of performance, Thalapathy Vijay, as expected, is terrific and his presence makes the film worth watching. Pooja Hegde looks stunning and delivers an entertaining performance. Yogi Babu and VTV Ganesh add to the comic quotient. Lilliput and Ankur Vikal are okay. All in all, Beast is an average fare.
