(Crisp) Movie Review: THE BALLAD OF BUSTER SCRUGGS by FENIL SETA

The Ballad Of Buster Scruggs is an anthology film by the famous Coen brothers. The film begins with a bang and the first two stories take the film to dizzying heights. The dark humour comes out very well. But the next four stories are dragging and the impact is not the same. These tracks aren’t bad but after such a great start, the last four stories just don’t match up to the greatness of the first two tales. Performances are quite good and the ones that stand out are Tim Blake Nelson, James Franco, Harry Melling, Tom Waits, Zoe Kazan and Tyne Daly. Those interested can catch this flick on Netflix from November 16.

My rating – ** ½ out of 5!
