(Crisp) Movie Review: TERI BAATON MEIN AISA ULJHA JIYA by FENIL SETA

Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya‘s story is quite novel. It doesn’t start on a great note but gets better once the setting and characters are established. The first half is breezy and the intermission point is dramatic. Things are more or less fine in the second half too. But the climax is very disappointing. It is abrupt and doesn’t do justice. Also, the jokes don’t land as intended. Shahid Kapoor performs ably and dances like a dream. He also looks quite dashing. Kriti Sanon is very adorable and pulls off the challenging character of a robot effortlessly. Dimple Kapadia leaves a mark, as expected. Dharmendra is cute in a small role. From the rest of the cast, Ashish Verma (Monty), Rajesh Kumar (Mama), Raashul Vijay Tandon (Pappu), Brij Bhushan Shukla (Goldie; doctor), Rajan Kavatra (Inspector Gupta) and Manish Kumar (Constable Gujjar) do well. The songs are catchy, especially ‘Laal Peeli Akhiyaan’. All in all, Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya is an average flick.
