(Crisp) Movie Review: MORBIUS by FENIL SETA

Morbius is a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe but is not as exciting as the other films in this franchise. It’s just 105 minutes long and doesn’t offer anything new. The storyline is ordinary and the fights and conflicts give you a been-there-done-that feeling. The way it has been connected to the Spider-Man universe looks forced. A few scenes do arrest attention and that’s about it. Speaking of performances, Jared Leto is fine and handles the lead part well. Matt Smith goes overboard. Adria Arjona gives a fine performance. Tyrese Gibson’s character lacks depth and hence his performance also suffers. Al Madrigal is wasted. Michael Keaton (Adrian Toomes) fails to generate excitement. All in all, Morbius fails to entice. Avoid.

My rating – ** out of 5!
