(Crisp) Movie Review: HEADS OF STATE by FENIL SETA

Heads Of State, which has released today on Amazon Prime Video, tells the story of two state heads in an unusual and dangerous situation. This has all the trappings of an action-packed ‘road trip film’ – two characters, who can’t see eye-to-eye, are forced to be together. The political backdrop provides a nice touch while the action is entertaining. On the flipside, a few cinematic liberties are too much. The film also gets repetitive in between. This 116-minute-long film could have been shorter. Speaking of performances, Priyanka Chopra has a crucial role and is terrific. This is her most action-packed role ever and she nails it. John Cena and Idris Elba are equally great and contribute nicely to the madness. Jack Quaid leaves a huge mark in a special appearance. Paddy Considine (Viktor Gradov) is decent as the villain. Simone Bradshaw (Sarah Niles), Richard Coyle (Quincy Harrington), Carla Gugino (VP Elizabeth Kirk) and others lend able support. All in all, Heads Of State is a fun-filled entertainer and one of those keep-your-brains-aside kind of film.
