(Crisp) Movie Review: FAIRY FOLK by FENIL SETA

Fairy Folk, which has released today in cinemas, stars real-life couple Rasika Dugal and Mukul Chadda and is about how their life turns upside down when a gender-less human-like being enters their life. The plot is absolutely crazy and moreover, the film is in the improv zone. It’s executed by Karan Gour in such a way that one feels like they are in the room with the characters listening to their conversations. However, even though it’s 95 minutes long, it seems a bit lengthy. The film gets too verbose in some scenes. Also, a few sequences will leave viewers confused and puzzled. Rasika Dugal and Mukul Chadda, however, deliver fabulous performances. Nikhil Desai plays a challenging role with ease. Chandrachoor Rai (Kabir), Asmit Pathare (Hansa), Alekh Sangal (Maher) and Jahnavi Dave (Afreen) leave a mark. All in all, Fairy Folk makes for a decent watch.
