DHURANDHAR THE REVENGE REWRITES RECORDS; SIMPLY UNSTOPPABLE

Dhurandhar The Revenge, which released on the evening of March 18, is doing unimaginable business at the box office. It was expected that it would do record numbers. Yet, the trade and industry are simply stunned by its numbers.

Dhurandhar The Revenge was expected to collect around Rs. 35 crores on its paid previews. However, it went on to collect Rs. 40 crores. On Thursday, it earned a huge Rs. 75 crores, while on Friday, it accumulated Rs. 72 crores. The industry was already in awe of its performance, but the best was yet to come.

On Saturday, the day of Eid, the film earned a record Rs. 97 crores. No film has collected such a huge number before in a day. And that’s not all. On Sunday, the film earned, believe it or not, Rs. 100 crores.

Despite such numbers, the drop was minimal on weekdays. While it collected Rs. 60 crores on Monday, it earned Rs. 46 crores on Tuesday. Its Wednesday collections are Rs. 42 crores. Hence, the film has already collected Rs. 532 crores in 7 ½ days. This is more than the lifetime collections of Animal, Baahubali 2, Pathaan and Gadar 2.

There’s a holiday on Thursday on account of Ram Navami. Hence, instead of dropping, the collections will grow today. Hence, the hope is that the film would collect Rs. 48-50 crores. This means that the film would earn around Rs. 580 crores in its extended first week.

Dhurandhar’s first part had collected around Rs. 790 crores and this number will be crossed by the end of the second week. At this rate, the film is all set to cross the Rs. 1000 crore mark.
