(Crisp) Movie Review: UFFF YEH SIYAPAA by FENIL SETA

Ufff Yeh Siyapaa, which has released today in cinemas and is a silent film with no dialogues. The concept is great and the idea is to make a Chaplinesque comedy. But the writer-director fails to do justice. The first half is unbearable and many might walk out mid-way. Thankfully, the second half gets better, but that happens too late in the day. Moreover, there are scenes where one feels that the dialogues are necessary. A few developments are also difficult to understand in the absence of any conversation. Sohum Shah gets a bit overboard while trying to be funny. Nushrratt Bharuccha is much better and impresses in the second half. Nora Fatehi looks stunning and delivers an able performance. Omkar Kapoor is just okay. Sharib Hashmi does well but is let down by the script. All in all, Ufff Yeh Siyapaa is unbearable and barely raises laughs.
