They Will Kill You attempts to blend and gore-style action. The idea must have sounded fascinating on paper. A few scenes are well executed, the production design and VFX is top-class and moreover, the film is just 94 minutes long. However, the film doesn’t deliver the desired punch. It gives a déjà vu of Kill Bill, John Wick etc. The action gets repetitive and a few scenes will leave viewers feeling grossed out. Zazie Beetz makes the film watchable with her power-packed performance. Myha’la lends able support. Patricia Arquette (Lilith Wodehouse), Heather Graham (Sharon) and others are just okay. All in all, They Will Kill You is an average flick.
