The RajaSaab mixes horror-comedy with a psychological twist. On paper, this novel concept must have sounded exciting. But Maruthi‘s script is weak and his direction is messy. A few scenes stand out in the first half, while the intermission point raises hopes. However, the film goes downhill in the second half. In the middle of the tension, two romantic songs have been forced into the narrative. A crucial scene shown in the trailer is shockingly absent from the film! The climax, meanwhile, is unbearable. Prabhas tries his best to make the goings-on entertaining with his antics and charm. However, the poor writing lets him down. Sanjay Dutt is quite good as the antagonist. Of the girls, Malavika Mohanan gets the most prominent role and she does quite well. Nidhhi Agerwal is presented beautifully and is decent. Riddhi Kumar is fair, though her screen time is very limited. Zarina Wahab and Boman Irani are satisfactory in a small role. Songs are bad, while Thaman S‘ background score is catchy. All in all, The RajaSaab should be avoided.
