(Crisp) Movie Review: SON OF SARDAAR 2 by FENIL SETA

Son Of Sardaar 2‘s plot is promising and could have made for a laugh riot on the lines of Welcome, Ready and Housefull. A few scenes here and there do raise laughs and moreover, the makers managed to get a great ensemble cast. Sadly, the jokes are few and far between and on top of it, some of them don’t land properly. The actions of a few characters are bizarre, while the songs are not memorable. The ending thankfully has some good moments and that really saves the film. Ajay Devgn plays his part with utmost sincerity. Mrunal Thakur delivers a fine performance and has a lovely screen presence. Ravi Kishan is the best performer in the film. Deepak Dobriyal gets to play an entertaining part; Kubbra Sait is confident. Sharat Saxena makes his presence felt, despite late entry. Roshni Walia, Vindu Dara Singh (Titu) and the late Mukul Dev (Tony) are adorable. Chunky Panday and Sanjay Mishra are shockingly disappointing because of the writing. All in all, Son Of Sardaar 2 is an average comic caper.
