(Crisp) Movie Review: KIS KISKO PYAAR KAROON 2 by FENIL SETA

Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2‘s trailer promised a laugh-riot and thankfully, the film fulfills expectations. Making this film is a challenge, especially to show how the protagonist ends up marrying thrice, that too in three different religions. Thankfully, writer-director Anukalp Goswami takes care of this aspect and makes it convincing as per the zone of the film. This is one of those ‘leave your brains at home’ kind of flick as the goings-on are outrageous and illogical. But who cares as long as it’s making the viewers laugh? Sadly, in some scenes, the writer-director takes this aspect a bit too far, and that’s where the film falters. Also, the songs are weak. Performance-wise, Kapil Sharma is brilliant as expected. Manjot Singh (Hubby), Vipin Sharma and Akhilendra Mishra lend able support. From the girls, Tridha Choudhary (Meera) gets the maximum screen space (and also an additional song) and she leaves a mark. Hira Warina (Sania), Parul Gulati (Jenny) and Ayesha Khan (Ruhi) are decent. Sushant Singh is superb as always. Jamie Lever (Santosh) and Jimmy Moses (Eunuch) bring the house down with their antics. Late Asrani is too good. All in all, Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2 is worth watching for all those who enjoy madcap capers and who miss 90s Govinda comedy-type films.
