(Crisp) Movie Review: CRIME 101 by FENIL SETA

Crime 101 has solid casting and the plot is also quite promising. It has a runtime of 140 minutes and moves at an unhurried pace. The intro of the characters and the setting is engaging and the drama that follows keeps viewers hooked. The finale and the bond shared by the thief with the insurance broker and girlfriend is memorable. On the flipside, there are too many cinematic liberties and hence, one is not wowed by the goings on. Also, it gives a déjà vu of the Hollywood film Drive and even Dhoom. Chris Hemsworth is damn good as the mysterious thief. Mark Ruffalo‘s character is beaten to death, but he plays it with panache. It’s also to see the two superheroes of the Marvel Cinematic Universe in such a setup. Halle Berry looks stunning and delivers a first-rate performance. Barry Keoghan (Ormon) is aptly cast, while Monica Barbaro puts up a lovely act. All in all, Crime 101 is a timepass entertainer.
