(Crisp) Movie Review: THE GHAZI ATTACK by FENIL SETA

The Ghazi Attack is surprisingly quite an exciting flick that keeps viewers firmly engrossed. Most importantly, it explains the whole thing about submarine, torpedo etc quite simply. The characters and the confrontations between them make for an interesting watch. The climax is a bit rushed and underwhelming though. All three leading actors – Rana Daggubati, Kay Kay Menon and Atul Kulkarni – are simply brilliant. Especially the latter two deliver one of the finest performances of their career. The national anthem is played twice in the film. When played for the first time, nobody got up. The theatre guys then had to switch on the lights, as if angrily telling patrons, “Ab toh uth jaao, you bloody deshdrohis“! The idea worked and everybody promptly stood!

My rating – *** ½ out of 5!
